Founded on the philosophies and principals of its Partners, pickard-design, ltd. officially opened its doors on January 03, 2006. Under the direction of freelance artist and designer Brian Pickard, along with partner Crystal Peterson, the team merged their assemblage of independent projects. By June, 2006, pickard-design, ltd. had a total of nineteen projects in development, ranging from residential remodels and new-builds to interiors and custom furnishings, and from limited production products to corporate web sites. pickard-design has taken the work of its staff and associates to the forefront of the design community. The expansive character of the educations and professional experiences of the partners composed the foundation on which the firm was formalized. This continues to be the mechanism behind our designs and allows us to provide clients with an assemblage of services beyond residential and concept design, ranging from interior design and space planning to industrial and product design. |

 Brian PickardMr. Pickard is the Principal Designer for pickard-design, ltd. He received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University with an Undergraduate Minor in Industrial, Interior, and Visual Communications Design. He has studied contemporary art, computer modeling and animation, physics, and psychology as an extension of his education. As a guest lecturer and critic at the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University, he is able to maintain a connection with the students and community through his annual lecture series on portfolio design and composition. Additionally, he acts as a graduate advisor to the OSU chapter of the AIAS, assisting the officers with the planning and organization of various programs and activities. He has competed in numerous national and international design competitions and collaborated with local artists, architects, and designers on several occasions. Prior to his ventures in design, Mr. Pickard worked for several commercial contractors in Northwest Ohio. With over eight years in the design and construction industry, Mr. Pickard displays the ability to bring his creative and innovative concepts to life. As the Principal Designer, he brings both experience and leadership to the design team. |

 Crystal PetersonMs. Peterson is the Director of Operations for pickard-design, ltd. She studied engineering at Bowling Green State University and architecture at The Ohio State University. She has also studied art history, economics, and photography and spent time traveling through Europe and Russia. Working as a Designer for the Trinity Health Group and former Associate Designer for Lapiz Design, she has contributed to many notable projects in the Columbus area. She has competed in several design competitions and collaborated with local artists, architects, and designers on several occasions. With her diverse education and work experience, she brings both professionalism and organization to the design team. |

 Joseph HongMr. Hong is a Design Consultant and the Director of Design Production for pickard-design, ltd. He received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University. His education included advanced drafting techniques, architectural modeling, and design technology in addition to his degree. As a Project Architect for Thomas E. Hall & Associates, in Philadelphia, and an Architectural Designer for WD Partners, Mr. Hong has shown the ability to contribute and lead at every level of the team or phase of the project. His professional experiences range from large construction projects to marketing and advertisement, and has competed in several design competitions. After several years of collaboration and friendly competition, Mr. Hong brings over eight years of experience, diligence and rigor to the design team. |

 Alan JonesMr. Jones is a Design Consultant and a multimedia and computer technology consultant for pickard-design, ltd. He received his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University. In addition to architectural and drafting projects, his work includes digital graphic composition, graphic user interface designs for software and web applications, and software and hardware design and configuration. |
